Here's for you Bob..........

Sunday, December 14, 2008

He has to do every thing by himself. This will be good someday, I think, but right now it has its moments. He got his hair cut today, he didn’t want his hair cut. Then he didn’t want to have an itchy shirt on, he calls it a “scratchy shirt” close enough. So he made Daddy take a shower with him, because Daddy got his hair cut too. Then he was cold so I was summoned to, “Mommy, wrap me! I’m cold!” Well ,he got wrapped all right, like a “berdido” and I got reprimanded, “You not put me here mom, I’ll fall on my head.”
Didn’t want to let us help him get dressed so he put on his own clothes, not well, but at least facing the right direction. Then for a nice relaxing cup of tea for me and “coffee with marshmellows” ( hot chocolate in Cole-ish) He informed me “tea is gross it smells like poo Mom.” I may never think of tea in the same way again. Donna was right, every one should listen when your parents tell you “just wait till your kids……”

big shoes

Wouldn’t it be great to have some one look up to you this much. Want to spend every second with you, even while you are sleeping, try as hard as they can to fill your shoes. Big responsibility to bear for the one who is the object of admiration. Cole is always trying to find ways that he and Daddy are the same and talking about them with Jason. “Daddy you have feet like me?” “Daddy you a cowboy like me?” “Daddy we love mommy”

I’m a lucky girl. I have two wonderful men when so many are still looking for just the one.

Papa Tom and Jim's Birthdays

We celebrated Dad’s and Jim’s birthdays last night with pizza and cake. Cole was quite happy to have his Grandma Sally, Papa Jim and Papa all in one place along with several other friends. Thanks everyone for coming out!

Hump Day

Mom and Dad's birthday celebrations all this week, we had dinner with mom tonight. Happy Birthday Mum!!!! And this weekend it's dad's turn. Then Cole played with Ruger. Cole was in a snuggle mood tonight and the only one that could do right by him was Grandma, "Mom and Dad are mean" says he. That may be a popular opinion untill twenty, thirty some, or fifty-ish years from now when he reolizes that cookies for dinner was NOT a reasonable demand? Right?
He also decided today he wants to name his TeeTee (best blanket) Dada, cuz "all the guys have teetee's mom" so he wants to re name it. Ahh, Cole. My little man, you do have your own drummer, Don't you? He is singing the "Chicken Fried" song in the bath tub at the moment, at the top of his lungs. You should hear;
"A little bit of chicken fried,
cold beer on a friday night.
A pair of jeans that fits just right"
belted out by a 3 year old. Now thats entertainment.
